Services

Calculate nutritional data. In some cases, reasonable nutritional values can be derived using your product formulation, plus nutritional data from your ingredient suppliers or nutrient databases. LTS Consulting uses Genesis R&D SQL software.

Convert your nutritional data to the correct Nutrition Facts table format, if you already have all the necessary nutritional data, it can simply be converted to the right format, for either Canada or the USA.

Identify health claims, nutrient content claims and other claims. Based on the nutrient data and ingredients for your product, a list of applicable claims (e.g., “zero trans fat”, “high in fibre”) will be provided.

Prepare complete label regulatory information package. Includes items such as: Nutrition Facts table, ingredient list, allergen statement, net quantity, legal agent (company name and address), caution statements, e.g., "may contain pits", preparation and storage information claims, plus notes indicating required text size and placement of information.

Label reviews. Identify changes needed to comply with Canadian regulatory requirements.

French translation of label text.

US labels. All the services listed above can also be provided for products sold in the United States. Please note that it is not possible to create one label or one Nutrition Facts table that is acceptable for use both in Canada and the USA.
